About this program

How recovery peptides work

Recovery peptides work by binding to specific receptors involved in cellular repair, angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation), and immune modulation. Unlike anti-inflammatory medications that suppress the healing cascade, these peptides work with the body's natural repair processes β€” accelerating what the body does naturally.

They are particularly well-studied for their effects on musculoskeletal tissue, gut epithelial integrity, and systemic inflammatory load. Our doctors assess your specific injury or condition and prescribe the combination most appropriate to your case.

Well suited for
  • βœ“Tendon, ligament and muscle tears
  • βœ“Post-surgical recovery support
  • βœ“Gut permeability (leaky gut), IBD, IBS
  • βœ“Chronic inflammation and slow healing
  • βœ“Sports injury and overuse injuries
The Peptides

What your doctor may prescribe

These are the peptides used in our Recovery & Repair program. Your doctor determines which are appropriate for your specific presentation.

Primary β€” Tissue Healing & Gut Repair

BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound 157)

BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-amino acid peptide derived from a sequence found in human gastric juice. It has been extensively studied in preclinical models for its effects on musculoskeletal tissue repair, tendon and ligament healing, gut epithelial integrity, and systemic anti-inflammatory activity.

Mechanistically, BPC-157 promotes angiogenesis, modulates nitric oxide production, and interacts with the growth hormone receptor pathway β€” accelerating the natural healing cascade without the immunosuppressive effects of corticosteroids.

Secondary β€” Connective Tissue & Muscle

TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4)

Thymosin Beta-4 is a naturally occurring 43-amino acid protein present in high concentrations in blood platelets and wound fluid. It plays a key role in regulating actin polymerisation β€” the process by which cells move and proliferate during healing.

TB-500 promotes muscle fibre regeneration, reduces inflammation, and increases cell migration to the site of injury. It is often used in combination with BPC-157 for a synergistic effect on connective tissue and muscle recovery.

What to expect

Your recovery timeline

1

Weeks 1–2: Assessment & commencement

Consultation with your Natura doctor. Prescription issued, pharmacy dispatch within 48h. Self-administration training provided with your kit.

2

Weeks 2–4: Initial response

Most patients begin to notice reduced inflammation and improved comfort within the first 2–4 weeks. Healing acceleration is often reported during this phase.

3

Weeks 4–8: Active repair phase

Tissue remodelling and repair is actively progressing. Many patients can increase their rehabilitation load during this period.

4

Weeks 8–12: Review & consolidation

Follow-up consultation with your doctor. Progress assessed. Program continued, adjusted, or concluded based on clinical response.

Eligibility

Is this program right for you?

βœ“ May be appropriate if you have:

  • A specific musculoskeletal injury
  • Post-surgical healing requirements
  • Gut permeability or IBD/IBS
  • Chronic soft tissue inflammation
  • Tried other treatments without adequate success

βœ— Not appropriate if you have:

  • Active cancer or current cancer treatment
  • Current pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Uncontrolled autoimmune conditions
  • Known hypersensitivity to peptide compounds

Common questions

FAQ β€” Recovery & Repair

BPC-157 and TB-500 have been studied extensively in preclinical models and have a well-characterised safety profile. They are not anabolic steroids and do not carry the risks associated with corticosteroids or NSAIDs. Side effects are generally mild and transient. Your doctor will review your full health history before prescribing.
Yes β€” these peptides are administered as subcutaneous (under-the-skin) injections, similar to insulin injections. Your pharmacy kit includes needles, syringes, and full self-administration instructions. Most patients are comfortable with this within 1–2 uses.
Yes β€” peptide therapy works best as part of a comprehensive recovery approach that includes appropriate physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and load management. Inform your physio that you are on a peptide program.
TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4) is prohibited under the WADA Code in competition. BPC-157 is not currently on the WADA prohibited list but monitoring is ongoing. If you compete in a tested sport, discuss this with your doctor before commencing any peptide program.
